Adding Images
I tried to add an image to my listing, but the site said the image
was too big, what do I do?
If you are adding an image to your listing, you will need to make
sure the file size of the image is less than 50KB in size. Images
must also be no larger in dimensions than 640 pixels wide and
480 pixels high.
If your image is too large, in either KB or dimensions, please
edit the size of your picture in a photo editing program, such
as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. If you do not have a photo editing
program installed on your computer, we can recommend IrfanView,
which is easy to use and is free
for personal use. You can download IrfanView from http://www.irfanview.com.
Searching the listings
How do I search for my pet?
To search the list of pets:
1. Place your mouse on Lost or Found as appropriate.
2. Place your mouse on the type of pet (dog, cat, other pet).
3. Click on "Search ..."
4. Select the state you wish to search.
5. Enter in the details you wish to include in your search, and
click OK.
Can I search by a specific area?
Yes you
can, but more often then not, dogs and cats will travel long distances,
so it is best to do a search for the breed/sex/colouring and/or
to search in other areas surrounding your own. It is also important
to post a photo with your listing if possible.
Notes about searching: Our search form allows
you to search by as many fields as you like. In each case you are
searching to see if a field contains the word you
enter. For example, if you are searching for a lost Staffordshire
Bull Terrier dog, it is recommended that you type
"Staff" in the breed line, as this will return any results
containing the letters "staff", such as Staff, Staffy,
Staffie, Staffi, Staffordshire, etc.
